  1. Whoa I like your tree! The snow looks pretty. I hope we get some on the West Coast :)

  2. Crunch! So creative. I don't miss the crunching of boots in snow, though. Been there, done that.

Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages in just a few miles north of Leesburg. You may well have been there. We first visited The Villages in 2004 when we were living in South Florida. At the time, Lake Sumter Landing and all the thousands of homes in that community did not exist.

Lake Sumter Landing is one of the two hometowns in The Villages. The other is Spanish Springs, a few miles east and north of LSL. Lake Sumter Landing is our favorite spot and we'll drive down there often to wander about, take photos and get a bite to eat.

Re my comment about Williams...you are right! It was Fort McCoy and I think the fort was near Williams, Wisconsin. That's so long ago! But it was cold driving those parts in the dead of winter!

Thank you also for your nice comments...Lake Sumter Landing is an easy place to get good photos!

  3. Lowell: The "Crunch" is in reference to the icy concoction left behind by the first snowfall of the year—and that which is felt by the holidays approaching. CRUNCH!

I've definitely been to to Lake Sumter Landing. . . so beautiful! We had a distant view of the launch of the shuttle a few years back. I have photos of this shiny silver object in the sky. The Landing is indeed a great place to hang out.
