Winding Down

Let me savor the warmth of this day;

feast upon the golden ash and blazing red maple,

the rainbow streaked sky.

Let me feast today;

for tomorrow it will all be gone.

  1. An incredibly beautiful post! What a gorgeous place to live. Although I did talk to my sister the other day - lives north of Eau Claire - and she said it's getting colder! The colors in these shots are gorgeous. Yes, feast today. Tomorrow - who knows?

    So, I'll let you in on something - please don't mention this is any comments you might make on a blog - my wife of 55 plus years has bladder cancer and underwent surgery on Wednesday which was only partially successful. So now we're waiting on the pathology report to see what else can be done. The good news is the doctor doesn't think it has spread but he couldn't get all the tentacles in the bladder wall which means the bladder is likely going to have to come out. Not fun. (Actually, Lois and I have been together 58 years!)

    I'm not able to post and comment for awhile...

    Hope all is well with you and yours. Feast today!!!

    1. Yes, Lori, they are of our 80 acre farm. Fall is such a beautiful time of year.
