I feel sorry for Denver. It's not his fault! Obviously, the owner left the treats in an easy to access spot. I don't know too many dogs that can get treats from an eyeball level cabinet :-) So there!
I'd like to think that the interaction between Denver and his owner is more of a game but the guilt seems genuine. Poor Denver. You're right, Julie, it isn't his fault. Dogs will be dogs. Right, Eric?
Poor dog was shamed to death but I don't think that's going to stop him from doing it again.
