This is the way my little lady likes to start her day. The window faces south so there is plenty of sunshine to warm her 15 year old bones. She'll take all the warmth she can get since she has grown thinner the past couple of years. Although her coat is thick and velvety, she is still more susceptible to the cold. Summer is a good time of year for my favorite feline.

Keep the Red Out
I recently purchased this hummingbird feeder after the one I had for years started to leak. I learned from the source I got it from that hummingbirds should not be given food dye, that clear nectar is the only way to go. There is usually enough color on the feeders to attract the birds they said. The colors don't even have to be red to entice them to give the feeder a try, although red is their favorite color.

Life In The Passing Lane
First I was dying to finish
high school and start college.
And then I was dying to finish
college and start working.
And then I was dying to
marry and have children.
And then I was dying for my
children to grow old enough so I
could get back to my career.
And then I was dying to retire.
And now I'm dying...
and suddenly I realize
that I forgot to
live.

My mother has had this stored in one of her photo boxes for many
years. I believe that it resonated with her because our dad dedicated his
life to work. He farmed with his parents and also worked a full-time
factory job so there was little time for other things.
